By the end of the day, it is difficult for a person to reconcile everything on paper that has been discussed in a meeting. It is a really difficult task to remember everything little thing discussed that includes every person’s reviews. Only creating notes can save lives. Fortunately, Google has simplified the method for creating, sharing, and attaching meeting notes in both Meet and Calendar.
It has made it very simple for a Google Meet organizer to start a new Google Doc for meeting notes from within Google Calendar events and use it further to collaborate on it with other participants.
This method will let you create a Google Doc for meeting notes, attach it to a calendar event, and have the notes shared with all attendees of the meeting. Now, Anyone can easily create a document for notes directly from the Calendar entry. However, these features are only available on the desktop version of Google Calendar, Meet, and Doc apps.
How to create meeting notes in Google Calendar?
The procedure is very simple. Use these easy steps in order to create Meeting notes and then access them during your meeting:
- First of all, open the Google Calendar App on your desktop
- Tap on the event where you want to add Meeting Notes
- Under the Events tab, tap on Add Attachment option
- Click on the Create Meeting Notes option.
- Save the Event. It will automatically create a document that you can share with all guests and members of the meeting.
Regardless of when you create this document, it’s permanently attached to your meeting’s entry in the Calendar so that attendees can refer back to it at any time. It’s also automatically shared with everyone invited to the event, so you don’t have to manually enter email addresses or select your co-workers from a list.
All participants in the meeting will have access to the meeting notes document once it has been created in a calendar event. Each participant in the meeting will have access to the shared Google Doc so they can collaborate on the meeting notes. Meeting attendees can further work simultaneously on the shared document.
If you are one of the attendees and are not able to find the meeting doc, here’s how you can do it:
- Open the Google Meet app and tap on the More Info icon
- Under the Calendar Event, you will find the Meeting Notes option
- Tap on the option, this will route to you all the Shared Google Docs
