The most exciting upgrade for Apple’s iPhone 12 was least expected and now, yet again, the firm has revealed that it’s working on a similar massive upgrade for the AirPods.
Just a few days after Apple launched the iPhone 12, where it unveiled its new MagSafe charging ecosystem and accessories, the firm has now filed an all new patent with US Patent and Trademark Office for the redesigned MagSafe AirPods.
The new AirPods, which was first spotted by Patently Apple, use one super fine folio case which on the rear side of the device with the help of magnets. The firm also reveals another traditional toned down design having a lid that flips open and connects in the same manner. The two devices take charge from the phone directly later then.
The firm tries to be unclear in the description of the two devices; however leaves just a little space for imagination, keeping in mind that the upcoming AirPods have one magnet that radiates magnetic field externally which can be traced by one magnetic field radar. This accessory device might also come with a charging coil that would be designed for supplying power to internal power unit.
Notably, the patents don’t really reveal the final design of any product nor guarantee a public release. Hence, we’ll have to wait for an official announcement about these devices from Apple.
