So, to escape, you just have to press the directional key inside the direction in which you have to drift and then press the hearth button. The default key bind for the latter is the left-hand side mouse button. For controllers, it’s R2.
Pressing the hearth button while you’re holding down the route key will create a wave and spin your car sideways.
