The most anticipated game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is all set to release soon. Activision already reveals several new maps and three new game modes for the upcoming first-person shooter game.
During Modern Warfare 2 Open beta, players got the chance to experience four multiplayer maps and 2 Ground War Maps. It is still suspense how many maps will be included in the game during the time of launch.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a direct sequel to 2019 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
COD Modern Warfare 2 will have two Styles of Maps
In Modern Warfare II there will be two different styles of maps: Core Maps and Battle Maps.
Core Maps will be available in the classic Call of Duty multiplayer modes built exclusively for 6v6 combat. These are comparatively smaller team-based multiplayer maps. It includes Domination, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, and Free for All. Core Maps of MW 2 will take place in locations around the world.
Battle Maps are large-scale maps that will take place in zones from the new Warzone 2 map. Battle maps will arrive at the end of this year, and will be available for modes such as Ground War.
The developer has updated the game with new Battle Maps that are designed for up to 32 players per side. The team does not reveal the specifications of the maps but clarified that every building will be explorable, and each vehicle can be driven.
Infinity Ward reveals three 6v6 Maps
Presently, Infinity Ward reveals three 6v6 maps. The team will reveal more maps at the time of the launch. These maps are Valderas Museum, Farm 18, and Mercado Las Almas
- Valderas Museum is set in Spain, with very clean sightlines, easy-to-read thoroughfares, and modern architecture.
- Farm 18, is a training facility in an undisclosed location within an old, abandoned cement factory and a “Shoothouse” in the middle of it.
- Mercado Las Almas is a small bustling marketplace with fast-paced routes and lanes that blend together that lead to pure, frenetic fun.
