Seattle police has put a man behind bars post he allegedly launched a blazing wooden piece on one Seattle police vehicle while a police officer was sitting inside, said the authorities on Friday.
The police officer was searching for one suspect who was reportedly carrying a flaming item in South Lake Union.
A video released on Friday reveals a man going down a lane when police officer Caleb Pomazon yelled at him and asked him to stop. Later, the man can be seen uttering a profanity but still keeps walking. Officer Pomazon drives the vehicle towards the alleged man, who then turns around after the officer again tells him to stop, reveals the video from dashboard camera.
Next, the man marches towards the vehicle with one burning item and throws it onto the car. Officer Pomazon, who has been serving the department for a year, fires at the man several times. The bullet holes can be noticed in the vehicle’s windshield.
The police said that the man fled from the spot but was caught by the police officers in a parking garage and arrested.
Aerial video shows that the car was gutted by flames and the partially burnt wooden piece can also be seen hanging from driver’s door.
