The opening batter Mohammad Huraira, who is Shoaib Malik’s nephew has lit up the current Quaid-et-Azam Trophy after he scored the triple century.
In the final round of Karachi in Karachi, the Northern batter scored his second triple ton in the season during the ongoing battle against Balochistan.
The 19-year-old right-hander hit the triple hundred with only 327 deliveries in the second innings of Balochistan’s total of 305.
Presently, Northern has scored 570 runs in the first innings, and they have a lead of more than 260 runs.
Huraira was also the second-youngest batter following the legendary Javed Miandad, who achieved the feat. Miandad as a player for Karachi Whites scored the triple hundred against National Bank in the 1974-75 season at just 17 years old.
In the past, when speaking to PakPassion the Huraira spoke on his current favorite cricketers. They included New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, India skipper Virat Kohli, and Pakistan’s Babar Azam.
“I absolutely idolize Kane Williamson for his technical and tactical skills,” Kane Williamson declared. It is evident, Virat Kohli’s variety of shots that he plays with equal accuracy all over the field is something I adore and want to replicate wherever I can.
“Babar Azam is another batsman I love to watch and emulate as he has a great temperament and his shot selection is amazing,” the batsman said.
